User Experience Designer - PayPal IDC

Prior to starting my graduate studies, I was working as User Experience Designer for PayPal. My role within the team was focused on creating high level design documents detailing out interaction flows, screen level details and architecture for merchant related services, and also providing support later in the prototyping and development process stages. Some of the projects that I worked on variety of projects from merchant services and risk operations.

MAM hosted User Agreement Flows and Login

To create a user flow that allow PayPal to send an email/confirmation to the merchant who have signed up PayPal Express Checkout through our channel partners to request their acceptance of the PayPal's User Agreements and the Commercial Entity Agreement. The flows follow separate route depending upon the attributes of the actor, also shown in the flow diagram below.

Then sample screens were designed after multiple iterations of the flow depicting the details of element and their behaviour.

Original Credit (OC)

OC is a withdrawal option via one’s debit or credit cards, increasing the solutions provided to It offers users convenience and provides PayPal wide country coverage (via cards’ platform). The information flow diagram were used as an initial feedback artifact in the product meetings. One of the flows is shown in the image below.

This Spec deals with the Limits part of the process and how different error messages will be displayed in the front end to the user in case he hit the different limits. Also, this spec speaks about the UI impact on the Admin part because of introduction of OC limits. A sample screen is also shown below.

This project involved more transparent and Integration of MRB, that can help both PayPal and its users in developing a fruitful and profitable business relationship. These merchants are both premier and business account users of PayPal.
